The Rainbow vacuum is a good cleaner and good for people with allergies BUT, it is high maintainance. You can not ever leave water in the water basin at all or have cleaner stored on it with water, it will evaporate up into the vaccum, rusting your bearings which will result to motor failure. Then you will have the expense of buying a new motor for it which can be costly to you. So if you are the type of person who does not have the time to empty the water basin each time you use it and also clean the water separator after each use and once a week put a drop of 3 in 1 oil on the water separator nut so it will not rust and get stuck on the motor shaft, then the rainbow would not be the cleaner for you. Your 2nd choice should be the Filter Queen Vacuum.
