Hi Greg.
Fasten the bubble foil to the entire underside of your rafters, and install a ridge vent the whole length of your roof. You will be amazed at the difference in the temp in your attic AND your bills.
I'm in energy management, and I've never heard of the radiant chips.
Radiant foil works so well, I can't figure out why it's not used in all new construction?
Same for sprayed-in-place polyurethane foam ? Expensive up front, yes, but it's the best insulation out there, and pays for itself over and over.
That's my $10.02 worth, I really need to get back to work.
Cheers, Brian in hot Louisiana, where we use bubble foil by the square mile, and have energy-miser, tankless water heaters in every home..I wish :o)
