I have more questions to try to fully comprehend your situation. Where do you live, what is the outside weather like, what is the outside humidity, put your guage in the crawlspace and what is the humidity, do you directly heat your crawlspace, is the crawlspace foundation insulated except the vents, do you have any windows open for ventilation, what kind of heat do you have and does it have access to outside combustion air, do you have and use a fireplace, do you have any type of non vented heater, how many in family, do you have bathroom vent fans and use them, do you have any condensation forming on your windows or elsewhere, why don't you want to run a dehumidifier all day, and if running your dehumidifier all the time, how much does it reduce your humidity?

Respond to these and then we can complete the picture since we aren't there. I see on the horizon, putting in paper faced fiberglass batt insulation under the floor, covering the foundation vents, cracking open some windows, running the dehumidifier all the time, and getting rid of non vented gas heaters.
