Sherwin Williams used to make Ralph Lauren Paints. Now they are manufactured by Glidden. I had used RL white paints with great sucess until this summer. I recently bought a gallon of Tuxedo White and even though I am using a really expensive brush for latex paint, I am still getting streak marks.
The technical service rep at Glidden was rude and he told me that I should be using a sprayer if I wanted good coverage. He was unable to tell me why I had been successful with other RL paints and was having such difficulty with this shade. He was not willing to admit to the possibility that something might be wrong with the paint. In his mind, the problems were my fault.
I never will buy RL paints again. There are paints with better price value ratios readily available.
