I would think that just time and airing out will do the trick. You can try sprinkling some baking soda on the area during the night hours. It does great in soaking up odors.

There are odor masking chemicals out there, but be careful around the floor with them: pinesol, lysol, and others.

I would be patient first before ripping up any flooring.
