Actually, the pump is the weak link in a pressure washer. I owned a pressure washing company several years back so I have some experience with this. The run-of-the-mill pumps won't last long at all. General, Tri-plex, CAT are all good pumps. Anover-Reverbi isn't bad. We bought a cheapo (by our standards) at sams to use as a backup and it was a Honda with A/R pump. I still have it today maybe has 300 hours on it and the pump is about shot. Can't beat a Honda motor, but I'd trade the Vangard or Kohler motor to get a better pump.
