I don't know if drilling holes is an option or not. Perhaps someone else wants to affirm or refute this (and how big should the holes be, and how many, and where.)

Also, those cheap bubbles from Home Depot are useless. (And my daughter is a stock holder!) Check around the lumber yards in your area for the much harder ones. They're out there. I didn't find them until I called a 3rd one. When you ctc the yard, be sure to tell them you DON'T want the 'flimsly' well covers at Home Depot. AND, before you call, measure the length and width of your well. There are 3 sizes that I know of (and maybe they don't have the size you need.)

PSS: And maybe, at worst, you may have to dig out and re-gravel the well. It may be 'obstructed'. This is a pretty easy job; it just time consuming. Use 3/4" gravel and grade the BOTTOM of the well AWAY from the foundation.
