I am planning a project as a personal residence in Dutchess County located 60 miles north of New York City in the beautiful Hudson Valley. Breifly, the project consists of the construction of a 5000 sf southern colonial, barn, and pond accessed by a 1800 ft long driveway on 10 acres of hardwood timber.20,000 board feet of red, black and chestnut oak was graded by a registered forrester. The timber will be harvested, sawed to my specifications at a local mill and returned to the site and utilized to construct the barn and portions of the house. All the grade 1 lumber will be kiln dried in a kiln located in the barn after it's constructed. Then it'll be used for trim, kitchen cabinets and furniture in the house. To heat the house we'll use radiant heat provided by a geo thermal heat pump that gets it's energy from a series of pipes buried in the bottom of the pond.If your interested contact us.
