Programming the Craftsman Operator

The "reset" button is actually called a "Smart Button" and is located on the motorhead where the antenna hangs down. Typically this button is red or green.

To reprogram your system, hold the button down for 10 seconds - this will clear the units memory out completely.

To recode your transmitter - push and release the Smart Button then push the button on your transmitter.

To reprogram your keyless entry, push and release the Smart Button, then enter the four digit code on the keyless pad and hit enter. The keypad should flash - enter the code and hit enter again.

If this does not work - the problem probably stems from a bad logic/receiver board that needs to be replaced.
