I never thought that a proper pvc union could ever be un loosened. To be more specific, when the purple cleaner is used and the proper glue is used, your saying that the union can be un done? I will try this someday with junk pieces. This will be good to know. I am wondering if the amount of heat required to break the union will not also distort the actual fittings? Can the fitting be used again after being heated?

Thanks Professor
