PROBLEM WITH HEATING FURNACE

Posted by AMY QUINTANILLA on January 3rd, 2003 08:58 AM

I HAVE A PROBLEM I HOPE YOU CAN HELP ME WITH. MY ELECTRIC BILL HAS BEEN IN THE HIGH $300 AND UP RANGE AND THE NORMAL IN THE WORST MONTHS WOULD BE SOMEWHERE IN THE HIGH $1OO. WELL, I PREDICT THAT IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH MY AIR CONDITIONER. WHEN THE AIR IS ON, THE HOUSE COOLS FINE, AND EVERYTHING IS WORKING. IF I PUT THE THERMOSTAT ON AUTO, THE SYSTEM WILL START HEATING UP AND SMELL BURNED. IT ALSO DOES THIS WHEN I PUT TURN IT OFF. WE HAVE TO ACTUALLY TURN OFF THE UNIT FROM THE BREAKER TO INSURE THAT IT DOES NOT BURN UP. I HAVE A INTERTHERM MODEL HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEM MODEL NO. E2EH-015HA. I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE SOME ADVICE.
