Problem walls

Posted by Kathleen Brosius on January 5th, 2002 10:56 PM

Our old house has plastered walls that are in need of reapair/replacement. (cracks, holes) We have considered covering the walls with wood planks (not paneling), or textured plaster/paint, or wall paper. There is also part of a wall that has "fake" terra cotta bricks attached where a wood stove once stood. next to this is a cinder block chimeny. The fake bricks were broght out to be flush with the chimeny. We would like to remove the fake bricks. The cinder blocks need to be covered. We are at a loss at what would be the easiest, most ecomical way to repair and finish these walls. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
