I am a pro painter and I have used many different paints and like Henry and Jim stated, Sherwin Williams or Ben. Moore are going to be your best bet. Remember they have lower quality (cheaper lines) paints as well, stick with there mid grade or above and you will be fine.

For walls I would recomend S.W.'s promar 200, can't beat the coverage and cuts in especially well.

For ceiling white I use S.W.'s Southwest Builders.

For trim, doors and cabinets I must insist on Ben. Moores Impervo, that is when the cabinets are painted instead of stained and lacquered.
