Before I re-piped my house,I had every pipe know to man hooked in some of the runs.Mostly galv.andCPVC.I am not a plumber but,I can solder copper, after some practice,so I sought pro advice from pro's in the trade.I was told to maintain the same size pipe as what is comming into your house, to as close to the fixture as possible. That's for pressure I guess. As for hot water, well I guess that goes to first-come-first served. All I know is I have real good pressure but, if my wife want's to make a point she will turn on the washer and the dishwasher when I am taking a shower. How big is your hotwater heater?
