I have a 1927 Federal style center hall colonial with 16 columns and original 10-inch cedar shingles painted too many times. Last scraped and painted with Latex in 96, but portions not scraped have now peeled/checked to the wood. Are burning or sand blasting options to consider or should I once again scrape/sand/feather(which I did last time). Windows are perfect because of heavy storm windows always on. I understand a pressure wash is bad for shingles/planks because of back-side moisture problems. True? I plan to go the cherry picker route with my second story and side wings. I want to do the most effective/efficient prep! How would you go? Thanks. Spencer
