Hi All-
I am not an engineer. I build things that engineers and architects design. To those with advanced technical knowledge of such things, please enlighten me. I too have concerns with the footing for these systems being constructed of QP or crushed stone. How can a gravel footing compare to a solid poured, steel reinforced footing? I am intrigued by the system, but can't get this idea past my "overbuild it" philosophy. One of our current projects is a 4600 sq. ft. home to be built on a somewhat wet lot. How will the stone footing react under sloppy conditions? Current plans call for a 10", 10' high poured foundation wall. I appreciate your educated, experience driven thoughts! -Steve
