I understand that Ryobi is now owned by or controlled by Sears. If you look at some tools sold under the Sears name, you might note that they are almost identical to the Ryobi version. I have seen some of these cheaper at Sears and others cheaper at other stores. But in the interest of total fairness, many tools are branded with many different names by the same factory. And this ranges everywhere from screw drivers to huge agricultural tractors and everywhere in between. And it's the same with appliances and hundreds of other categories also.
