porcelin sink (1930-50's?)

Posted by Sue on April 19th, 2000 09:51 PM

We have a white porcelin sink in our old house's kitchen. It sits a top a white metal cabinet unit. I'm wondering if the sink and/or metal cabinets are worth keeping or if I should buy all new cabinets and sinks. I've heard people collect this kind of sink-true? My other cabinets are dark, 1970's type. Basically I have no idea what to do, other than I kind of like the sink for its rustic, country look. If I do keep it, what should I do for cabinets and counters (I have no real counters). Also the sink is very hard to clean. How do I keep it from getting rust spots? Thanks!
