Our home is only 4 years old and here is our problem. We have knotty pine cabinets and built-ins. Our doors and trim are also pine. It is my feeling that the "painter" did a very poor job finishing our woodwork. The color is very beautiful, but the finish seems to be very thin. Where the baseboards meet the ceramic tile, you can see where my mop has been against the wood. Every little nick or the slightest scratch is very obvious. Is there something we can put on the wood that would be more protective and give it a harder finish. I am tired of having to physically oil down the baseboards, cabinets and doors to remove these unsightly marks.
