Kathleen, a big part of the answer depends on where you live. The closer to the west coast, the lower the cost and the greater the availability. I wouold start with a phone book and check with the specialty lumber yards. You might get lucky at a home center, but there are lumber yards that specialize in higher quality lumber, moldings, etc. There are some that specialize in hardwwods, and that is probably not the first place to check. The second place to check is door manufacturers. There are some around but you might first go to your library and check your state industrial guide there to see what is listed. The third place to check is for specialty woodworking shops. It might be easier to have one built locally. Also, try search engines on the web. You might get lucky.
