Polyurethane and hard wood floors

Posted by Tracy on June 30th, 2002 08:16 PM

My husband and I are planning to refinish our hardwood floor in the VERY near future and I was wondering if anyone has an opinion on what type polyurethane (oil- or water-based) would be best for this type of application. I know the obvious advantage of using oil-based is that it gives a harder, more durable finish but would like others' opinions. Sorry if this has been asked before but I did a search and didn't find anything.
