I havn't had a chance to do any refinishing in about 15 years. My goodness there are a lot of different brands/kinds out there now. Since I plan to strip / and poly my kitchen cabs. what is the current "best" poly to use for this type of application. Knowing that they will be in contact with kids, water, soap, grease.... ?

I don't really want to run a test with a bunch of different kinds. The Cabs. are solid Oak in great condition and I believe they would look great in a clear high gloss poly. but all my local stores (homedepot, Lowes, orchard, rochkler) have ana absolute ton of different kinds. I must say that I feel abit intimidated about this.

I seem to remmember that a Oil Based Poly is better but ......???
