Steve: this is a very old house (built in the 30s or early 40s), with a parts lath and plaster, the area where i am working is clean enough to work with modern materials, and there is wiring but i have moved all that, i dont have a clue as to what size header (non-bearing wall) to use and how to nail it to the wall or is it secure enough being nailed to the header, floor and back stud?
I hope this is enough Steve.
thank you Steve for taking the time to answer.
