Pocket door

Hi, again, Anita. In my opinion, having a pocket door makes changing the door even easier than for a hinged door--if you can just remove the moldings to get the door off.

John 2000, the plywood is a good idea but 1/32" doorskin plywood in small quantities will cost a lot more than a new door. The 1/8" is also expensive--a lot more than 1/4"--but the added thickness will cause problems for either a hinged or sliding door.
