If you are going to paint, Andres, MDO is probably best since it is really stable. If you are going to stain or laminate, cabinet grade birch plywood is OK. Wood like oak-faced plywood is not quite as good to marginal, but probably OK since it has voids in the inside laminations. And none of these are as good as rail and stile construction.
