pex valve repair

Posted by luc on August 27th, 2001 08:16 PM

i have a pex water installation where the water lines run through straight brass valves with silver spade handles that turn 90 degrees. these valves are each soldered to a copper manifold. the number in the valve is A112.18.1M Canada. one of the valves is leaking where the shutoff handle enters the valve. is there any way of repairing these valves? it is not obvious to me how they can be opened up. when i remove the side attached to the pex tubing i can see a rotating ball inside but cannot see a way of opening it up. thanks
