I am purchasing a home that has a Pergo floor in the living room. The house is only 2 years old.In one section of the room(2'x2')the floor is "lifting" up and there appears to be a pocket of air under the floor. The homeowner claims that it is weather related. He said that Pergo floors need room to expand and contract. He also said that the floor does not lift all of the time, and it may be the heat,it may need adjustment or it may need "trimming" (he said he is going to leave me extra flooring).Does this sound right? If it does need to be repaired,is this a major repair job? Does the whole floor need to be ripped up? Thank you!
