pergo cleaner

The cleaner does work, and it is not too costly ($5.95 QT). Lets keep in mind, depending on how bad the glue residue is, the cleaner is made to clean up normal residue, not excessive residue.
I'm with JJ call the builder or contractor back and have them do it the ways recommended, this is not your doing. If it doesn't come off, he just got himself a floor and you a new one.
