My husband and I used it to strip the paint off our fireplace and ceiling moldings and will definitely use it in the future - it worked extremely well. If you are stripping lead paint, it is particularly good as it doesn't create lead dust which can be extremely hazardous (esp. to pregnant women and children). The key is to keep the room that you are using the product in warm, a friend down the street even put a small portable heater in the room which seemed to work very well. If you plan to stain the wood after stripping, be sure to use Peel Away 7 (6 might work as well), as Peel Away 1 will darken the wood and is only good if you plan on repainting. Good luck!
