Sorry, Jane, no magic bullet. Peel Away does get hard enough to pull stripped paint off with the paper after a while but it will not pull the paint out of cracks and crevises, in most cases.

But you sure haven't wasted your money on it. I'm sure that you will find s place around your A&C house with 20 coats of paint that you will want to strip and it will work great doing that.

You might try an old fashioned scrub brush or a brass brush and I would go without the water once the paint has bubbled. If your fireplace surround was brick or stone, you could go to muriatic acid but I think that it would hurt the tile. Now do you see why we keep telling people not to paint brick.
