I've had a pedistal sink haunting me for the past six months. My fiance is furious at me that all our guests need to go upstairs if they want to wash their hands after they use the restroom. The biggest issues are the following:
1. Mounting the basin to studs that do not line up.
2. Mounting the pedistal to the tile floor (I plan to use a masonary bit to drill through the new tile and into the slab).
3. Also, my drainage pipe does not at all line up with the pedistal sink. No matter how I fit and cut and twist I do not know if I will get the proper setting for the pipe with the proper "U".
I hired a contractor to put in the tile and attemtped to dump the sink project on him. He accepted the challange and recently petered out on the project. So here I am again.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated. The biggest question is will I be able to do this without getting into the wall?
