Go to You could get some assistance there. If not, go to your home center and look at their sunset book selection and I have seen them there.

There are basically two ways, one more expensive than the other and one more work than the other.

One is basically cutting down into the earth and scraping out he dirt then laying down a four of five inch blanket of sand and then lay your pavers in your design in the sand. This is the cheap one, but it does require some maintenance.

The other is doing the same thing, but setting a concrete foundation for the bricks to set on. Then applying mortar between the pavers. This one is expensive and does not require maintenance if the concrete foundation is thick enough.

Your border and anchors keep the pavers in place and together. These make a very nice patio area.

Once you deterimine your layout. Take your dimensions into your home store and they will figure the amount of pavers that you need.

Be sure and make the dimensions so that you do not have to cut or trim any pavers.

Good Luck.

FYI for a few dollars more, you could build a deck and have something more permanent and also increase your property value.
