I have an enclosed patio with a corrugated roof that leaks. The leaks are actually at where the sheets come together. We didn't install the roof, but we'd like to fix the roof quickly and easily (and cheaply).
I was thinking of simply putting more corrugated roofing on top, staggering it to cover the misjoined seams. My husband is thinking that if we purchase new corrugated roofing, the waves might not match up exactly with the previous roof, causing all sorts of headaches. If we put down some plywood and put shingles on top, we aren't sure how to attach that to the existing roof.
Any suggestions? I realize a quick fix might not be the most permanent answer, but if we can figure something out that will last a few years, while not costing us too much money, I'll be happy. I am willing to try anything that sounds reasonable, but neither my husband nor I have a lot of roofing experience.
