Patio Enclosure -AC -Electric -Concrete Floor

Posted by Sue on March 24th, 2001 10:51 AM

Hi All,

I'm having my 20x11 screened patio enclosed. It will be well insulated, wood framed, drywall, etc. I have 200 amp service to the house (meter a few feet from new room) and the patio floor is concrete with in-door/out-door turf "glued" down around the edges it appears.

Where it's not glued it has still has left quite a "residue" from the carpet backing. I'm planning on commercial carpet on 3/4 of the room with the rest either sheet vinyl or ceramic tile. Any recomendations on cleaning and/or prep of the concrete or type of new coverings.

Also, I'm putting in a PTAC Heat Pump (thru the wall) unit. I've chosen one from an on-line source but I'm confused as to the choices for the particular unit...230V/208V or 265V, and amp choices of 15 or 20 or 30. I've alot to learn..can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks a bunch!
