I see from your post that you will get rid of any furnace that you buy from now on that is older than seven years because manufacturers are not required to keep parts for more than seven years.

Almost all motors are self-lubricating since before the last decade. A motor that requires yearly service lubrication has little caps covering the bearing lubricating holes at the edge of the moter. Removing two screws or just pulling off the blower compartment cover reveals whether a blower has a belt or not.
