help me!!!! I purchased a home 7 years ago that had this parquet wood flooring in the kitchen, dining area, family room and bathroom. While it "can" look beautiful, most of the time it looks dull and yucky. I have a few replacement pieces left by the former owner and it looks as though it was pre-treated, however the previous owners weren't the best at keeping up the floor with 5 boys, so they routinely used Johnsons No-Wax liquid. I want to remove all that junk, and get the floor in a condition where it is relatively easy maintenance. Can these floors be sanded? if so, what type of treatment can I use that will stand up to heavy traffic? You know, kinda like the floors at Outback Steak House?
