My parents wood frame home on piers is suffering from rot. The floor joists and seals are completely ruined. The house was moved and set up on piers 25 years ago. Footings were dug, concrete poured and the house was bricked. (you guessed it, not enough ventolation) The house is in a low lying area and so to add even more trouble, dirt was hauled in and piled against the brick to keep the water at bay when the lawn would flood. The floor we can rebuild. How do we deal with the pour ventolation and standing water under the house?
