Plaster of Paris (Not Patching Plaster)mixid with white glue will give a qualified tradesman a one coat application to fill grooves. Yes there may be additional details to pay attention to beyound this, my method will cut labor cost 60% and do the same job. Rinse off all chalky residue after plaster sets. Seal with a low silicate brand alkyd flat primer sealer e.g. Siperstein's(TM)in in NJ. Waite 48 hours and apply just about ANYTYPE wall covering you'd like. Anyone wishing more info may e-mail me. I entered this business back in 1961.
