Paneling Problem

I'd followed some of your previous posts on this, and from what I remember it sounded like this was only in a couple of particular places, meaning it was not from the paneling itself, but from something either spilled on it or put on it, like an oil or wax, that is causing the problem.

Sometimes a way to solve this is to use spray-can lacquer over the area. Spray on several complete, but not overly-heavy coats of clear lacquer; this often will seal over things which stubbornly reappear. (With minor problems, like ink pen, even hairspray will often work, as long as what follows it dries quickly).

I'd be tempted, for no more than the cost of a can of spray lacquer, to also do this as a precaution before repainting.
