ANNE,ONE WAY WOULD BE TO USE A BLOW DRYER TO HEAT UP THE GLUE AND REMOVE IT WITH YOUR "PUTTY" KNIFE.
ANY METHOD YOU USE WILL STILL BE TIME-CONSUMING IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE THE NEW SURFACE FOR PAINTING OR WALLPAPERING,ECT. TAKE YOUR TIME AND LET THE HEAT LOOSEN UP THE GLUE BEFORE SCRAPING. A WELL-PREPARED WALL WITHOUT NICKS,DENTS,ECT WILL BE RESULTS OF ALL YOUR LABOR! BEST OF LUCK TO YOU.
