Armond - it isn't a case so much of PT wood as its application.

Is your patio covered? If it is - go ahead and use a solid coating - I personally would use a latex porch and floor enamel. Glidden has a new one at THD that is very good.

If you patio isn't covered - DO NOT PUT A SOLID COATING OF ANY KIND ON IT - PT OR NOT - IT WILL PEEL!

Your best bet for an open patio is a sem-transparent product. CWF makes a good one - Wolman is good too.

Make sure you let the patio set a spell - PT wood is very wet when new........
