Painting P-lam

The answer is YES and NO!
You can paint it but, getting the paint to adhere is another thing.
To start you need to sand the P-lam with #80 grit paper then, #120 grit paper, then #180 grit. Make sure all of the shine/gloss is gone. Now prime the P-lam with an acrylic primer like Bin's (blue can) or ICI Gripper. Use 2 coats. Now wait 24hrs, and see if you can scratch it off with your fingernail. If you can, then your SOL (sorry outa luck) if you can't scratch it off, then paint it with a good acrylic trim paint. Remember this will not stand up as well as the p-lam. It may also peel over time due to the humidity in the bath.
