I HAVE FOUND THAT IN MY EXPERIENCE THAT PAINTING OVER WALLPAPER GLUE LEAVES A VISIBLY RIDGE IN THE PAINT. IT IS NOT VERY ATTRACTIVE. THE ONE THING THAT I CAN SAY THAT IS WHILE THE PAINT IS STILL WET ON THE SURFACE OF THE GLUE, TRY USING A PLASTIC PUDDY KNIFE AN REMOVE THE GLUE AND PAINT TOGETHER. IT TAKES SOME TIME BUT DOES GET THAT UNSITELY GLUE OFF.
