Hi, Gwen. You can paint over molding after you have filled any knicks and scratches, sanded the fill, washed off any dust and dirt with Dirtex or similar and a DAMP sponge and rinsed with a damp sponge, applied 2 coats of B-I-N primer sealer. In there words, do the same kind of prep work that you should do before you repaint anything. If you are painting only the moldings, you might want to mask the floor and walls with painters tape, not masking tape, before you apply the B-I-N and leave it on for both coats of paint.
