Painting interior walls of newly constructed house

Posted by Linda Whiteford on August 29th, 2002 01:05 PM

I was told by my builder of my new home that I should wait 6 months up to 1 year before painting over the primer that was originally used on my interior walls. They said I should wait for settling and the paint was some kind of special primer. Is this necessary to wait that long? How long should you wait before painting over primer in a new house?
