Hi, again, GK. If you have checked the Citristrip board already, you will see that I am a regular poster there too. It is a good product, the best in it's field for my money. However, with only the factory paint on the piece, I doubt that there is so much paint that you really need to strip to repaint. If you had a piece that had been painted 3 or 4 time and the paint build-up was causing you to lose defination of angles and so on, then, yes, Citristrip would be the way to go. Even with the surface prep that I advised, this should still be a lot easier and quicker than stripping and there would be a lot more steps to do it right. If you feel more comfortable with stripping, have fun. And I don't really know what the piece looks like, so it may be necessary. But if the current paint is in otherwise good condition, I don't see much benefit.
