base coat house paint (dark gray) Accent paints (light gray, terra cotta, black and white)
household sponge cut into rectangular shape
container with water
paintbrush, roller and tray, polyurethane

after priming the top with Lilz or Binn, apply a base coat of dray gray

dampen sponge with water and wring out. Dip the bottom of the sponge into other colors, distributing hte paint around the surface.

press the sponge with paint and stamp the sponge again onto the counter, rotating the sponge slightly so impression is at different angles, leaving space beween the impressions

rpeat over entire countertop

when dry, apply at least 5 coats of polyurethane. if you use a latex poly, it will not yellow, and since it dries quickly, you'll be able to apply the next coat after letting it dry only an hour.

email me if you want directions for different finishes.
