Good advice here - stick with a "ceiling paint" - they are very flat - just what you need to look good on a ceiling.

Glidden has a new one at The Home Depot - it has a feature called E-Z Trak - it looks pink when it is wet - makes it easier to tell where you have painted when you are painting a white ceiling. The pink colour disappears when the paint dries to a nice white colour.

Use a 3/8" cover - don't worry about a spatter shield - a good ceiling paint won't spatter.

Make sure you have a good extension pole - a 4-8' extended to about 6' works best.

Have fun!
