Hi, Sherry. If you will search down thru the board, you will find many posts about what's wrong with painting bricks. The biggest problem is that you will have to repaint every 5 to 10 years, no matter what.

Apparently, you went to a lot of trouble to take the paint off the brick and now you want to start painting all over again. This does not seem like a reasonable approach to me. And I will guarantee you that the brick building went for most of it's life without paint, so why destroy the historical accuracy.

My suggestion is that you contact a historical restoration expert and have him look at it. He will be able to guide you toward making the building last for a few more hundred years.
