Painting Bathroom

Posted by Michelle on June 8th, 2000 08:59 AM

I am repainting my bathroom. It previosly was covered in a glossy dark pink color, I am going to use a flat white color. Someone said to me, that I may have to sand the gloss down so that I do not have to use many coats of paint. Is this true? I was just going to paint over it. Do I need to strip it or sand it? Also, the door is painted that pink color on 1 side and is the original wood color on the other side. I definetly do not want it pink or white. I want it the original wood color. What do I need to do? Strip the wall (if so how) and use a varnish? Any suggestions are welcome!
